Things Start Moving in Thursday for the Steuben County Fair

Thursday is the soft start to the the Steuben County 4-H Fair. Perishable Project Check-In starts at 8 a.m. at the Steuben County Event Center, with 4-H Project judging set to begin at 9 a.m.

Weather permitting, the 4-H Rocket Launch will take place directly after judging. The first animals checking in will be Poultry Projects from 3 p.m. to 8 pm. Larger livestock animals will arrive Friday morning starting at 8 a.m.

Things get into full swing on Friday with the Dog Show at Rensch Hall and the Poultry Show in the Poultry Barn, both starting at 1 p.m.

Opening Ceremonies for the fair are at 5:30 p.m. on the Rensch Hall Stage, with the Miss Steuben County Queen and Little Miss and Mister Contests to follow. WLKI's Sheila McCrea will serve as the M.C. for the Queen Coronation.

Other events Friday night at the fair include the Truck and Tractor Pulls at 7 p.m. and the Free Concert w/ Greg Rhodes fro, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rensch Hall.
