A Fort Wayne man died in a Paulding County crash on Ohio 500, east of County Road 87.

Officials are reporting that the driver was traveling westbound, and then missed a curve and then going off the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle then overturned several times before coming to rest in a field. Aaron Crutchfield, the front-seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver was taken to Paulding County Hospital and later flown to Parkview, in Fort Wayne. The driver's name has not yet been released.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash that is still under investigation.
