A crash early Monday morning has claimed the life of a Fort Wayne man. The crash happened at around 2:15 A.M. early Monday morning at the intersection of Lower Huntington Road and Kress Road in Fort Wayne where authorities were notified of a motor vehicle crash involving 59-year old Malcomb Albersmeyer of Fort Wayne.

Albersmeyer was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of the death has been ruled accidental by Blunt Force Injuries suffered in the crash.

Albersmeyer is the 25th fatal motor vehicle crash in Allen County for 2019. This incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
