Tuesday, August 27, 2019

At approximately 9:21 P.M. Sunday, 17-year-old Tevin Reed of Middlebury, Indiana was traveling southbound on State Road 3, South of County Road 400 North. It was there when Reed came up on a herd of deer that were in the roadway and caused him to leave the right side of the road to avoid a collision.

Piloting his 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, Reed then struck a State Highway sign with the back passenger side portion of the vehicle before returning the roadway.

Reed was later transported to Parkview Hospital in LaGrange for complaint of head/neck and right knee pain.

The crash was near County Road 720 East, which intersects the roadway in that area.
