Steuben County Community Foundation Holds Annual Meeting, Reports Growth and Success

The Steuben County Community Foundation held its annual meeting on Tuesday evening at Club Z in Trine University's MTI Center.

The Steuben County Community Foundation reported 29.6 million dollars in assets as of July and since have surpassed the 30 million dollar mark. In the past year, SCCF raised almost $1.6 million dollars for more than 200 organizations for a total of 1.84 million raised.

The number of funds grew to 214, offering donors the opportunity to support community projects like local arts initiatives, early childhood education, and natural land preservation all for the benefit of Steuben County. At the conclusion of the 2018 year, SCCF grew to manage 170 miles of dark fiber throughout Steuben County and connected 181 total business and government connections to the network. The foundation generated $437,837 dollars in revenue from monthly subscription fees, a 5% increase from last year. The SCCF also donated $34,350 dollars in profits to community grant making funds.

To conclude the meeting the SCCF presented annual grant checks from 95 designated funds to more than 60 local nonprofits who serve Steuben County, totaling $300,000 dollars.
