On Tuesday, officers with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to State Road 3 near County Road 200 South in reference a reckless driver complaint, which was traveling north bound from that area.

Officers encountered the vehicle in the area of State Road 3 near County Road 100 North. It is there where officers then initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on County Road 150 North near 9000 East after observing the vehicle traveling left of center.

During the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver, who was identified as April Slone of Howe, was suspended prior. A K-9 officer was deployed and alerted to possible drugs inside of the suspect vehicle. A search revealed Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia in the passenger seat area of the vehicle.

The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Zakary Decamp of Wolcottville, was taken into custody and booked into the LaGrange County Jail for Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, and False Informing after he provided a false name to investigating officers.

Decamp also had active warrants.
