A Hamilton, Indiana man has died as a result of a motorcycle crash in DeKalb County. At approximately 5:30 A.M. Tuesday Morning, Trent M. Smith, age 54 of Hamilton, was traveling west bound in the 7400 block of County Road 4a in Hamilton IN.

It was there that Smith struck a deer with his motorcycle, a 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide. Smith was not wearing a helmet and died from head injuries sustained during the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Butler Police, Indiana State Police, Butler Fire, DeKalb EMS, and Life flight of St. Vincent Mercy Hospital of Toledo, Ohio.
