Lethal Injections Likely To Take Back Seat In Ohio For Now
Monday, October 28, 2019

Ohio Republican Governor, Mike DeWine recently stated that it is “highly unlikely” that the state’s last execution scheduled for this year will be carried out, mainly because of problems finding lethal injection drugs.

DeWine on Friday made his concerns public about drugmakers potentially cutting off supplies of medications to state agencies if they learn any of their drugs were to be used for capital punishment.

All this will likely result in a delay of the scheduled December 11th execution of James Hanna, who was sentenced to death for killing his cellmate Peter Copas at the Lebanon Correctional Institution back in 1997.
