Tuesday, November 5, 2019

The Angola Board of Zoning and Appeals held a special meeting on Monday evening to make special exemptions for an apartment complex development in Angola.

The BZA approved five separate cases concerning parking lot standards, building height, and dwelling unit sizes for a residential apartment complex called Terrace Place apartments. The request was for one building holding 60 units, totaling 60,000 square feet and three stories high with a future second identical building located at 400 Terrace Ridge Boulevard. Owner and developer of the project and President of JICI Inc. Ken Wilson, said it's been a long time coming on this project.

The required minimum dwelling unit sizes is 800 square feet per unit, the BZA approved unit sizes from 611-720 square feet. The plan is to build one building now, with an additional building in the future.

The development will next go to the Angola Plan Commission for development plan approval on Monday, November 18 at 5PM. Comments will be directed towards utility and storm-water infrastructure requirements.
