Following various discussions over the last few weeks, the Garrett Common Council made a decision on Tuesday to adopt an ordinance providing freshly re-elected Mayor, Todd Fiandt a full-time salary in the amount of $60,840.
This measure was initially presented at the council's session that was held back on November 19th which was set to move the Mayoral position from part-time to full-time. Talks were tabled at that time, following a 2-2 vote according to The Star.
The salary amount for Fiandt is raising some concern from members on the council, as Fiandt's part-time salary for this year was in the amount of $38,056.
