Holcomb Formally Announces Reelection Campaign

Indiana Republican Governor, Eric Holcomb made his reelection campaign official on Tuesday, filing paperwork to launch his 2020 bid for a second term.

The move was widely expected, which sees Holcomb gearing up for the campaign which includes a challenge from fellow Republican Brian Roth.

The two will square off in the May 5 primary, which is the same day that Democrats will choose their nominee to run as well. Woody Myers and Josh Owens are seeking the Democratic nomination. Libertarian Bill Levin is also running.

Holcomb defeated John Gregg in 2016 to become Indiana's 51st governor.
