Ohio Stay at Home Order Starts Late Monday Night
By: Sheila McCrea - Monday, March 23, 2020

COLUMBUS - Ohio Governor Mike Dewine has issued what he is calling a "Stay at Home" Order for his state.

In an address made Sunday afternoon, Governor Dewine said the order comes at a new stage in the fight against COVID-19. While he is calling this a "stay at home" order, it is very similar to what other states are calling a "shelter in place".

Officials with the governor’s office are estimating at least 60% of Ohio's population will get the virus.

In the new order, daycares will be limited to only six children per room. They want to limit parent interaction during pickup and dropoff.

Specific details of the order are posted on our news page and Facebook page. The order will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday and lasts until April 6.
