Michigan To Face Long Term Effects From COVID-19
Monday, March 23, 2020

Michigan will face long term challenges due to the COVID-19 situation.
That was part of the message delivered Friday afternoon by Governor Gretchen Whitmer during a press conference to update the State on what is being done during
this time.

During a Friday afternoon press conference, Governor Gretchen Whitmer
says that Michigan will face long term challenges due to the COVID-19 situation. She says the challenges will run from unemployment, to helping our businesses get back on their feet and educating our children. She says these will be difficult, but if we work together we will come back and be stronger for it.

Whitmer says she and her administration have been working around the clock to do what is best for the citizens of Michigan, and to put plans in place to help everyone as best as possible.

Whitmer asks everyone to do their part. Not only in terms of healthy practices such as washing your hands and keeping six feet away from others, but in helping out family and community members who need assistance.
