Monday, March 30, 2020

Tensions all across the state of Indiana have continued to rise over the past two weeks as those within the Hoosier state infected with the novel COVID-19 coronavirus continues to grow, especially as the first confirmed case of the virus was discovered in Steuben County over the weekend.

Connie McCahill, President and CEO of Cameron Memorial Hospital said that she knows many within the area are concerned about the virus, but those within the healthcare sector are well prepared particularly thanks to those who surround the community as a hole.

McCahill discussed how various members of the community have aided in donating disinfectant supplies, making masks, along with local construction companies donating their N95 masks to the effort as well. McCahill said in general, the donated supplies plays a big help while the hospital awaits for even more supplies to come in from the federal stock pile.
