Todd Young Speaks of Government's "Moral Obligation" To Help Those In Need Due To COVID-19 Measures
Monday, April 6, 2020

With many Hoosiers across Indiana working from home and several others being forced into a lay-off or unemployment scenario from the coronavirus outbreak, the state's economy has been a cause for concern over the last two weeks. In a situation that reminds several of the financial crisis of 2008, the two are similar yet vastly different in that federal and state governments are stepping in to try and ease some of that burden.

U.S. Senator Todd Young from Indiana discussed how that has come about.
Young discussed on the fact that as Indiana, and several other states are basically making it to where people cannot go to work, there is a moral obligation in some sense by the government to ensure that citizens bills and essentials are paid and that the financial strain not escalate even more.

Young also went on to discuss how small business is probably the hardest hit sector within the economy, and that the federal government has begun increasing the awareness to various forms of federal aid to help those businesses who are continuing to struggle as a result of the various shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
