Health Officials Say 11 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Southern Michigan

Health officials say there are 11 new cases of COVID-19 in Southern Michigan as of Wednesday afternoon. The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says another death has been reported in St. Joseph County, which makes 2 people who have died from the coronavirus. There were 2 new cases of the virus in the county, making 92 people
who have tested positive for coronavirus.

There are 2 new cases of COVID-19 in Branch County. That means 97 people
have the virus in the county, plus there have been 2 deaths. Hillsdale County also has 2 new cases, bringing the number of residents with coronavirus to 167. There has also been 24 people who have died from the virus.

There were no new cases of COVID-19 at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. 793 inmates and 34 staff members have tested positive for the virus, and there have been 22 inmate deaths.

There were 659 new cases of coronavirus reported in Michigan, which makes
53,009 people total that have the virus. There were also 43 people who passed away. 5,060 Michigan residents have died from the virus.
