Northwestern Williams County Got Hit Hard By Storms

Pioneer, OH - Several homes were without power after thunderstorms and straight line winds went through the tri-State area. Northwestern Williams County, especially in and around Pioneer were hit hard.

Roughly 8-10 poles were reported down on State Route 15 starting at Gerken Paving. Toledo Edison customers who were out of power around Pioneer, and US-20 areas, were told early Saturday morning that it would be quite some time before they would have power restored.

A house trailer in Pioneer was reportedly off its foundation, with several trees down as well.

Other areas with substantial damage include US-20 Pioneer, Lazy River Campground, and State Route 576 North of Montpelier to County Road 6 at US-20.
