Second Lockdown and Potential Mandatory Vaccines Possibly Ordered From Michigan Governor
Monday, June 29, 2020

Heads up for those within the state of Michigan, as Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer has hinted at moves that would potentially mandate residents across the state to get a coronaviurs vaccine when made available, as well as discussions of yet another lockdown across the state if COVID-19 cases spike once again.

In a Monday morning interview with WWJ-A.M. Radio in Detroit, Whitmer was quoted as saying, "One of the things that we know is the more people that get vaccinated, the better. As we go into the fall we want to make sure that everyone gets a flu shot. The less likely you are to be hospitalized for the flu, the more likely we'll have beds that are necessary in the event we don't have a vaccine for COVID-19. We want to keep people out of the hospitals, period."

Another concern among Michigan residents is in regards to the potential of another statewide lockdown if COVID-19 cases begin to surge once again. Whitmer stated, "I don't want to predict if that's likely or not, I can just tell you if people drop their guard and we see exponential growth, it increases the possibility that it might be necessary."
