Ten More Cases Of COVID-19 In Southern Michigan

Health officials say 10 more cases of COVID-19 were reported in Southern Michigan Thursday afternoon.

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says 4 new cases were detected in St. Joseph County, which means 302 people have COVID-19. There have also been 4 deaths.

There was 1 new case in Branch County. 244 people have the coronavirus and there have been 2 deaths. Hillsdale County has 2 new cases. That makes 185 individuals who have tested positive. 25 people have died in Hillsdale County from the virus.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says there were 3 new cases of COVID-19 in Cass County, which means 137 individuals have the virus. There have been 5 people who have died from COVID-19.

The Michigan Department of Corrections says there were no new cases of coronavirus at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater. That makes 39 staff members and 793 inmates who have tested positive. There have also been 23 inmate deaths.

Statewide, there were 543 new cases of COVID-19, which means 64,675 Michiganders have the virus. There were also 15 new deaths, which makes 5,966 people who have died from COVID-19.
