In a statement from Angola Balloons Aloft officials, a change in fireworks and balloon illuminations have been changed.
In a release via Facebook on Monday the predicted inclement weather this coming Friday has forced officials to move both of the events to Saturday, July 11th.
The balloons are set to glow at Angola High School and Angola Middle School near the athletic fields between the high school and Ryan Park Elementary, plus on Cemetery Drive at Commons Park.
The YMCA site is being designated for the vulnerable population and those attending will be required to stay in their cars or wear masks and social distance.
The illumination will take place at approximately 9:15 P.M., with parking lots opening at 8:15 P.M. and fireworks to begin around 10 P.M. No parking will be allowed along U.S. 20.
Fireworks will be shot off at the Selman Pavilion at Commons Park.
Even with the move to Saturday, all events are weather and wind permitting.
