Two New Cases of COVID-19 Reported In DeKalb County

It was announced on Tuesday by DeKalb County Health Department officials that two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in DeKalb County residents.

The two patients are a 41-year-old who is recovering at home and a 39-year-old for whom the Health Department has no further information, according to a news release.

This brings the county's total to 172 cases, amid the announcement that neighboring Steuben County saw another death caused by the virus on Tuesday.

DeKalb County has reported an age for all but two of its virus patients in which the average age of those 170 patients is 43 years. Only 37 are 60 years or older, and the patients range in age from 4 months to 91 years.

To date, DeKalb County has reported four deaths from COVID-19.
