By: Sheila McCrea - Monday, August 3, 2020

CAPE CANAVERAL, FL - Two NASA astronauts made their safe returned to Earth on Sunday. Astronauts splashed into ocean waters as their capsule parachuted into the Gulf of Mexico to finish their SpaceX flight.

After 62 days in space, approximately 1,024 orbits around our planet and four spacewalks, NASA Astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley, aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endeavour spacecraft, was the first splashdown by U.S. astronauts in 45 years, with the first commercially built and operated spacecraft. The safe return will now clear the way for another SpaceX crew launch

The next launch could be as early as next month, with the possibility of a civilian tourist flights next year.
