SHS Announces Plans For Admission to Athletic Contests
By: Mike Stiles - Friday, September 11, 2020

STURGIS, MI – Because of the coronavirus, attendance at Sturgis High School and Sturgis Middle School athletic contests will be extremely limited.

Sturgis Athletic Director Mark Adams says to gain admission to home or away Wolverine Conference games in football, volleyball and soccer, along with girls swim meets, you must have a ticket distributed by the Athletic Department, through a participant in the contest.

Admission is free for Fall events to those who have tickets.

Each participant will receive two tickets per event to distribute how they wish. No one will be admitted without a ticket. And there will be no ticket sales at events.

Adams says entrance to home football games will be through the west gate only. People attending Sturgis High School and Sturgis Middle Schools contests must wear a face covering and social distance except for those from the same household.

Tournament and non conference contests at opponents facilities may require an admission fee, but the limit of two tickets per participant will be enforced.

Adams says home football and volleyball games will be live streamed. For more information on viewing those games, you can go to the Sturgis Public Schools website at sturgisps.org.
