DEKALB COUNTY - This past Friday, Dekalb County’s Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a vehicle that collided with another vehicle at the intersection of SR 3 and CR 68 in Laotto.

Initial reports advised one of the driver’s was unconscious in a vehicle. That driver was eventually transported to a hospital in fair condition. The other driver was not hurt.

Mary Heckman was turning from the northbound lanes to go west when she collided with the rear driver side of James West’s vehicle. The southbound lanes at that intersection were closed for about 30 minutes.
