Four Arrested Under Several Charges in Howe, IN

On Saturday October 10th, deputies with the Lagrange County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to locate a stolen white 2017 Ford F350, that was reported stolen from the area of Angola, IN at 3280 E 750 N Howe, IN. Upon arrival to that address deputies could see a white newer body style Ford F350 sitting on the property from the roadway.

Deputies attempted to contact the home owner when they encountered two males, who were identified as John Wales and Austin Shaw of Sturgis, Michigan in a passenger car parked in front of the suspected stolen truck, with suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view. The subjects were detained for officer’s safety. The vehicle was found to be stolen as suspected. Two more subjects were discovered sleeping in a camper on the property, who were identified as William Pallaschke and Hope Lowry, both of Michigan. These two subjects were detained, as deputies applied for a search warrant for the property.

During the execution of the search warrant deputies recovered the following items: The stolen 2017
Ford F350, 2 stolen motorcycles, 1 stolen side by side off road vehicle, 1 stolen iPad, a large assortment of stolen hand tools, several stolen license plates, drug paraphernalia, suspected
methamphetamine, a significant quantity of purported marijuana and one stolen handgun.

The following subjects were arrested as a result:
- William Pallaschke: Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a
Stolen Firearm, a Carrying a Handgun W/O a License
- John Wales: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Carrying a Handgun W/O a
License
- Austin Shaw: Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Carrying a
Handgun W/O a License
- Hope Lowry: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia
