New And Familiar Names Elected To Office On Tuesday

UNDATED – Several familiar names were re-elected to hold office during Tuesday's General Election.
And there were some new names as well put into office by voters.

In St. Joseph County, incumbent County Clerk and Register Of Deeds Lindsay Oswald was re-elected to office. Joining her in winning re-election were Jeff Wenzel as Drain Commissioner and David Mostrom as Surveyor. All three ran unopposed.

Mark Lillywhite was elected as St. Joseph County Sheriff. He was appointed the interim Sheriff in January, and officially won an unopposed election on Tuesday. Also newly elected to office was David Marvin as County Prosecutor. He ran unopposed for the position. Kathy Humphreys ran unopposed and has become the new St. Joseph County Treasurer.

In addition, incumbent District Court Judge Jeffrey Middleton was re-elected to another 6 year term and ran unopposed.

In LaGrange County, incumbents winning re-election were Superior Court Judge Lisa Bowen-Slaven, County Treasurer Jamesi Lemon and County Coroner Kenneth Myers. All three ran unopposed.

Also running unopposed were Kim Johnson who was elected Circuit Court Clerk; and Sheila Getz who was elected County Recorder.

Branch County incumbents re-elected to office, and running unopposed were John Pollack as Sheriff; Terry Kubasiak as County Clerk, Nancy Hutchins as Register of Deeds and Michael Hard as Drain Commissioner.

Newly elected to office on Tuesday were Julie Waterbury as Branch County Treasurer and Zach Stempien at County Prosecutor. They also ran unopposed.
