Last Day To Apply For COVID-19 Funding Grants

LAGRANGE – Today is the last day for LaGrange County businesses to apply for grants from the COVID-19 Response Program.

The LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation is the sub recipient of $250,000 that was awarded to LaGrange County. EDC President Bill Bradley says they will provide up to $10,000 grants to
small businesses to retain jobs held by low to moderate-income employees; provide working capital and activities that support remote working. A company's total employment must be less that 100 people and 51 percent of the workforce retained need to classify as low to moderate income, and by
physically located in LaGrange County.

Bradley says the EDC will establish a committee of local business leaders to review the applications. The committee will utilize financial information provided in the application by businesses to determine the impact of the pandemic on each business.

Priority will be given to those businesses that have been impacted the most.
