By: Mike Stiles - Saturday, November 7, 2020

COLDWATER – Coldwater Community Schools is reporting ten new cases of COVID-19.

In a post on the District's webpage, Coldwater Superintendent Terry Whelan says they were notified Thursday by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency that ten new School Associated Cases of COVID-19 had been detected.

One of the new cases was located at Legg Middle School, eight at Coldwater High School and one in the Transportation Department.

Whelan says students and staff who have been identified as close contacts to these School Associated Cases have been informed directly by the CHA or the school district. If you have not received communication from the school district or the CHA, you are not impacted.

Classes for Coldwater Schools will continue to be held virtually until November 16. Whelan says all buildings in the district will undergo enhanced sanitation protocols as guided by the CHA and CDC guidelines, in accordance with the Coldwater Schools Preparedness and Response Plan.
