Glen Oaks Going To Minimal Staffing Starting November 16
By: Mike Stiles - Friday, November 13, 2020

CENTREVILLE – Glen Oaks Community College will be going to minimal staffing starting on November 16.

Following Thursday's Glen Oaks Board of Trustees meeting, President Dr. David Devier met with the Vice Presidents along with representatives from the Athletics, Housing and Public Relations departments to discuss the COVID-19 situation.

They determined that Glen Oaks will need to go to truly minimum staffing starting on November 16. With this being the case, Glen Oaks will send most of the housing residents home for the remainder of this Fall Semester.

On the academic side, the College will reduce on campus instruction to labs only with the potential for test proctoring to be determined. Devier says this form of operation is similar to how Glen Oaks operated in July and early August.

Glen Oaks will make all the arrangements to carry out this plan on Friday. Devier says in all likelihood, the College will remain on this level of operation until the first of the year.
