The Indiana Department of Health dashboard on Friday reported Steuben County had 30 new positive cases of COVID-19 taking the total to 1,038 with a 7 day positivity rate of 14.3%.

LaGrange County is experiencing high levels of COVID-19 spread, the most intense in Northeast Indiana. The Indiana State Department of Health's color-coded map of yellow, orange and red has colored all of the region orange except for LaGrange County which is red .

This week Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and his medical advisors spoke about the significant increase of COVID-19 cases in the Hoosier state. Hospitalizations have increased 143% in less than 2 weeks. Reportedly 75% of ICU’s are filled.
