By: Mike Stiles - Monday, November 16, 2020

COLDWATER – An area bank is going to be temporarily closing their lobbies.

In an effort to adhere to the Public Health Department recommendations with the rise of COVID-19 cases, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust as of November 12, have temporarily closed their lobbies to the public. They will only be providing drive-thru service.

Meetings that are necessary will be accepted by appointment only. John Castle, Chairman and CEO of Southern Michigan Bank & Trust says their top priority has been and will remain safety and well being of their customers and employees. While the decision has been made to mitigate in person visits, Castle says they will continue to serve their communities as they have throughout the ongoing pandemic.

When possible, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust encourages customers to utilize their electronic services, drive-thru locations, ATM's and telephone banking products.
