KINDERHOOK, MI – A portion of Old U.S. 27 in Branch County had to be shut down Monday following a crash.

The accident was reported at around 5 PM Monday evening just north of the Indiana and Michigan state line.

Reports indicate a vehicle went off the road and into some trees. Garbage from multiple containers was scattered across Old U.S. 27 near Southern Road.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene along with Life Care Ambulance and the Lakeland Fire Department.

At this time no other information is available concerning the crash.
