ALGANSEE TOWNSHIP, MI – One person was taken to the hospital following a three vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says it took place at South Ray Quincy and Lester Roads in Algansee Township at around 7:45 a.m. Reports indicate two full size pickup trucks and an SUV were involved.

Investigators say an SUV driven by 71-year-old Pamela Strong of Coldwater was east bound on Lester Road and had stopped at stop sign. Reportedly “due to sun glare”, Strong pulled into the intersection and was struck by pick up truck driven by 27-year-old Cameron Brenner of Quincy.

The first collision caused the Brenner pickup to strike a northbound pick up truck head on which was driven by 91-year-old Harold Billman of Montgomery.

Billman was transported to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say all three drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Quincy Fire Rescue, Life Care Ambulance Service, and good Samaritan’s who stopped to help.
