Governor Holcomb Selects New Member Of Indiana Supreme Court

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has selected Court of Appeals Judge Derek Molter as the next member of the Indiana Supreme Court.

Molter is replacing retiring Supreme Court Justice Steven David.

Holcomb said Molter is humble, caring, and collaborative.

Molter was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Holcomb and began his service on October 1, 2021. Before joining the Court of Appeals, he was a partner at Ice Miller in Indianapolis. Before that, he was an attorney in Washington D.C. at Arnold & Porter LLP.

A date for Molter’s robing ceremony will be determined by the Indiana Supreme Court.
