WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - An Elkhart man died following a two vehicle crash.

​The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says 56 year old Jody McDonough of Bristol was heading east on County Road 10 and was turning north onto County Road 17 just after 5 PM. 28 year old Aaron Hilliker of Elkhart was driving his motorcycle west on County Road 10.
​Deputies say Hilliker disregarded the traffic signal at the intersection of County 17 and County Road 10 and collided head on with McDonough.

​Hilliker was taken by VIA Ambulance to Elkhart Memorial Hospital with head trauma. He later died from his injuries.

​The crash is still under investigation.
