A search in a wooded area near Cemetery and Cranson Roads in Branch County, Michigan resulted in the arrest of a man who fled from Steuben County, Indiana deputies Tuesday afternoon.
The Coldwater Daily Reporter newsroom reported that during the chase from Indiana the driver threw out what appeared to be an active meth lab.
The Bronson Fire Department was called to handle the suspected hazardous meth materials. Several police agencies from the multi-state area searched for the driver, who reportedly fled the wrecked car into a wooded area.
Reports indicated he was taken into custody less than 90- minutes after the chase. Police had the area just east of Orland Road sealed off during the search.
More details are expected to be released today.
