During this week's Steuben County Council meeting what was described as a "very casual conversation" took place about the possibility of a casino in Steuben County. If this were to happen, a casino license would need to be moved from Gary, Indiana to Steuben County.
The move of license would have to happen this session of the Indiana Legislature.
If county officials wanted to move forward with a plan for a casino, a discussion with Indiana Representative Ben Smaltz would likely need to occur.
