One Person Injured in Residential Fire Monday

One person was transported the hospital after escaping a burning residence.

Noble County Communications received multiple 911 calls advising of a structure fire in the 7000 block of North Main Street in Brimfield. The calls came around the 4 o'clock hour early Monday evening.

Upon arrival, first responding units discovered a residential structure becoming rapidly involved in fire. A female resident was discovered at the scene by Noble County Sheriff Deputies.

Reports indicate that the female had escaped the burning residence. She was transported to Parkview Hospital by EMS with burn injuries. At this time her condition is unknown.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to the scene and will be the primary investigating agency.

Agencies assisting at the scene included Orange Township Fire Department, Kendallville Fire Department, Albion Fire Department, Johnson Township Fire Department, Ligonier Fire Department, Noble County Sheriff’s Department, Albion Police Department, Rome City Police Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
