Be sure to take extra time today and slow down. Many area roads may still be slick in spots from yesterday’s snow and freezing drizzle. Otherwise, today will be mainly dry and cloudy as highs reach the low to mid 30's.
According to the National Weather Service, a low pressure system will eventually bring precipitation, which will impact this evening through Wednesday morning. A wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain will develop this evening, eventually changing over to all rain by later Tuesday morning.
Roads will likely ice up for a time, with rain showers changing to snow showers and very windy conditions by Tuesday night.
Forecasters say light snow accumulation and plummeting temperatures could make for a slick morning commute Wednesday. Quieter weather will follow behind this system for Wednesday and Thursday.
