Wednesday, March 20, 2019

The combat of drunk and impaired driving is a constant battle for Indiana State Police, and this Friday, March 22nd a sobriety checkpoint will be in effect in the late night hours in Whitley County.

Whitley County has identified as having a high number of alcohol related crashes and Indiana State Police will be targeting impaired drivers in an effort to keep motorists safe this weekend, especially as several younger motorists will be on the road leaving for Spring Break in various locations.

Sergeant Kristopher Coffey is reminding motorists to have their driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations readily available when entering the checkpoint, so as to minimize the amount of time they are delayed.
