Trine University and Greater Fort Wayne Incorporated will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the expansion to the university’s Health Sciences Education Center at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

The expansion, located at 1818 Carew St. in Fort Wayne, will house Trine’s new surgical technology program this fall, as well as future programs planned in Trine’s Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences.

The university will occupy 8,900 square feet of space in what formerly was an eye surgery center, adjacent to its existing Health Sciences Education location on the Parkview Randallia campus. The space is undergoing renovation to include two state-of-the-art operating rooms, classrooms, locker rooms, a supply room, a sterile processing department, a lounge, as well as faculty offices. The renovation will be complete by August 1st.
