The Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence announced the Ninth Annual Walk A Mile In Their Shoes event, set to take place on Saturday, April 27th.
The fundraiser is designed to raise awareness, as well as bring assistance and support to domestic and sexual violence survivors. The event is designed to bring people together in a safe environment to hear a message, but to also have fun. There will be a 5K in the morning, Pancake Breakfast, Balloon Pop, Kids activities, Silent Auction and a Chicken BBQ to eat at the event or to take home.
All this serves as a lead up to a short presentation and the actual walk for support of victims and survivors. In this year's event, there will be four students from the Coldwater National Honor Society assisting with the presentation, but each of the other NHS members are volunteering time that morning even though that evening is their prom.
