Tuesday, April 23, 2019

A former Fremont High School Cross Country Coach pleaded guilty to child seduction Monday in Steuben County Circuit Court. Moses Jose Castillo, 43, of Fremont, admitted to the Level 5 felony charge which would allow four other Level 5 felony counts to be dropped. Judge Allen Wheat took the plea under advisement and will rule on June 3rd.

The plea agreement calls for a maximum of two years incarceration however additional probation could be enacted by the court. A level 5 felony carries up to a 6 year term meaning the most severe sentence that could be leveled would be two years in prison with another four years on probation.
