Steuben Women’s Club Dissolves
Wednesday, May 15, 2019

Founded in 1974, the Steuben County Women’s Club voted to dissolve the charitable organization at this month’s meeting. The club was designed as a social outlet for women who lived on the lakes. Their mission was to promote community projects, and over the years the club purchased equipment for Cameron Memorial Hospital and supported the well child clinic.

Two Steuben county high school seniors, one from Fremont and one from Angola have received the final scholarships. The very first meeting of the Steuben County Women’s Club was held February 12th, 1974 at the Potawatomi Inn and saw around 150 women in attendance.
