County Charter Bolstered by Michindoh Concerns

People gathered in the Bryan, Ohio courthouse square Saturday with signs for the first rally in support of protecting the Michindoh Aquifer this year. In conjunction with a chamber-sponsored spring event and a farmers market at the Bryan Square on Saturday, the Williams County Alliance had a table where people could sign a charter to give Williams County “home rule”. Giving them the ability to govern itself and make laws to protect the tri-state groundwater resource.


Artesian of Pioneer, owned by the Mayor of Pioneer, Ohio, Ed Kidston has proposed a business that would sell an estimated 15 million gallons a day of Michindoh water to communities outside of the aquifer boundaries.
