(ORLAND) - A report of suspicious activity in the parking lot of the Dollar General store on State Road 120 in Orland led to the arrests of two persons on Thursday morning. Orland Marshal Brooke Norton says her department responded at about 8:00am and later got a search warrant for two vehicles in the parking lot.
Norton says items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine were found in one of the vehicles. They also found marijuana, precursors to make meth along with meth and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested 35-year-old Zebekiah Wheeler of Orland and 41-year-old Tammy Kimmel of Hudson. Wheeler is facing seven charges including possession and manufacture of meth. Kimmel was charged with maintaining a common nuisance as well as possession of paraphernalia and marijuana.
Norton says charges are pending against on a third suspect. The Steuben County Sheriffs Department which included K9 Kash and the Indiana State Police Clandetine Lab Team assisted during the bust.
