MIDDLEBURY - Middlebury firefighters found a 69-year-old woman dead inside her burning home just after midnight.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Captain James Bradberry says early investigation turned up nothing suspicious about the fire or the death of Lona Chutsch.

The Elkhart County Coroner and the state fire marshal’s office are attempting to determine the cause of her death and the fire. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.

The home is on County Road 4 north of Middlebury.
