(ANGOLA) - Two vacancies on the Steuben County Council are scheduled to be filled during caucuses on August 4th starting at 6:00pm at the Steuben County Republican Party headquarters on East Maumee. The Steuben County Clerks Office says precinct committee chairs in the County Council's second district will caucus first to find a replacement for Sara Tubergen. She has resigned effective on August 18th. Tubergen will be a full time student this fall as she studies to become an occupational therapist. With her classes out of town, Tubergen did not have time to continue serving on the Council.
Precinct committee chairs from the County Council's fourth district will then caucus to find someone to take over for John Ingledue who past away following a short illness two weeks ago.
Those who are selected will serve out the balance of Tubergen and Ingledue's terms which expire at the end of this year.
Neither Tubergen or Ingledue dediced to seek a third term on the Council.
