Heritage Festival Underway In Burr Oak

(BURR OAK) – It's going to be a little more busy in Burr Oak over the next few days.

The Burr Oak Heritage Festival kicked off its four day run Thursday evening with Brats & Bingo, the Light Parade and the Sky Lantern Launch.

While there are several familiar activities during this year's festival, Committee member Cyndi Miller says there are also some new ones as well. ...... {LISTEN}.

One of the more popular events is the farm machinery show, which will happen this afternoon. Carl Baumeister says they will be demonstrating how some of the classic farm machines worked in the field. ...... {LISTEN}.

Today's events include the Bike-a-thon; the Kiddie Duck Derby; the Floatable-Boatable raft race; the antique tractor and wheat threshing display; the port-a-pit chicken dinner; senior high 3 on 3 basketball tournament, a spaghetti dinner; a concert by the Wasepi Blue Grass Band; the vaudeville and talent show, and a vintage baseball game against the Sturgis Biscuits.
