(STURGIS) – A recommendation on the North Centreville Road, West West Street intersection will be brought before the City Commission Wednesday night.
During their June 24 meeting the Commissioners were told that as part of the engineering design of that intersection, it was determined the current traffic signal did not meet the warrants as defined by the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
A temporary traffic control order was issued by the Commissioners on June 24 for the traffic signal. It was changed to flashing red mode for traffic on West West Street and flashing yellow on North Centreville Road and would stay that way for one month.
The 30 day evaluation period is over and City staff will recommend to the Commission to place stop signs on West West Street.
Wednesday's Commission meeting starts at 7:30 PM in the Wiesloch Room of City Hall. The public is welcome and invited to attend.
